Hello Everyone.
I think it is time to make the official announcement that I will be leaving the Cheeky Monkey on the 31st March.
I have decided to retire after 42 years in the business and settle for a different pace of life.
The bar will be run by Santiago and his mum Buzz who many of you will already know…they say they intend to continue running the bar in the same way…and therefore I hope you will continue to support them also.
I have had a wonderful time at the Monkey over the past 8 years and have had great support from all my staff who have been absolutely wonderful.
However, none of this would have been possible without the support of the best customers ever. I can’t believe how many really good and beautiful customers have supported us always. I can relate many extraordinary stories of the fun we have shared at the Monkey, but my worry would be who is crazier – me or the rest of you?
Thank you so much for making my time so memorable.
Despite many rumours, I will remain living in Coveta Fuma and hope to see many of you regularly.
